To all Harefield Cricketers, Officials and Supporters.
Government imposed restrictions in the current Health Emergency mean it will be impossible for the Club to hold a “COVID safe” Annual General Meeting this year. In accordance with Club rule 7.k) your Committee has decided that AGM business will be conducted at our next “socially distanced” Committee Meeting on Thursday 10th December 2020. Should you have any matters you wish to be raised, can you please e-mail them to me at least 14 days prior to the Meeting (as per Club rule 8). All our Cricket Officials and Captains are prepared to stand for re-election in 2021 except for Doug King who is standing down after 5 years as 1stXI Captain. Thanks are extended to Doug for his service during a very successful period for our 1stXI in the Home Counties Premier League, he will be a hard act to follow!! Moving forward Doug will continue to serve the Club in a newly created role as Director of Cricket, where he will work with players & officials and have ultimate responsibility for all off field cricket activities and policy. Finally a big thank you to all our players for your commitment and support during the curtailed 2020 season. Performances from our 1st and 2nd XIs indicated both should be pushing for titles and promotion next season, whilst the 3rdXI finished the season strongly giving encouragement for 2021. Everyone adapted seamlessly to the COVID imposed regulations and after lockdown player availability was the best in living memory, meaning all fixtures were fulfilled with no problems for our selection committee. Looking forward to similar commitment and support and hopefully a full season in 2021. Keep up the good work! Winter Well & Many Thanks Custer
