Karan Singh is the 1st XI wicket keeper and middle order batsmen. Karan joined the club in 2020 and has gone on to make the gloves his own this year. He has also scored his first 50 for the club this year in the first league game at Great Brickhill before adding another in the cup v Hornsey.
Karan is proudly sponsored by Michael Woodwards aka Custer. Custer is a lifelong club member and a cricketer whose illustrious playing career at Harefield has spanned six decades and over 1,200 matches across all the Club XIs between 1968 and 2016. The highlight of which was his keeping wicket for both our 2nd XI and 1st XI Thames Valley promotion winning sides of the early 90s. Custer has served on the Club Committee in various roles since 1972 most recently that of Cricket Secretary. Today, Custer is our Club Groundsman and has been since taking early retirement in 2012. He claims to have spent far more time on the pitches with a mower than he ever did with a bat. Custer is humbled to have seen the progress made by the Club over the years and is very proud of the achievements of our young 1st XI who have established Harefield as a Premier League Club playing at the highest level of recreational cricket in the country.
